At Lazy 3 Leather Company, we take great care in preparing and shipping all orders. To protect your package during transit, we offer optional insurance through Shipsurance. Please review our policy below to ensure you understand your shipping options and responsibilities.
Insurance Options

Insured Shipments (Recommended)
- You can insure your package for its full value, up to $5,000, for an additional fee based on the value of your items.
- To add insurance, please email us at info@lazy3leatherco.com after placing your order. Insurance cannot currently be added directly through our website.
- If your package is lost, damaged, or stolen before delivery, we will work with Shipsurance to process your claim.
- If you experience an issue with an insured package, please contact us via email to begin the claims process.

No Insurance (Customer Assumes Risk)
- If you choose not to insure your shipment, Lazy 3 Leather Company is not liable for any loss, damage, theft, or improper delivery.
- Once the package leaves our facility, the responsibility shifts entirely to the customer.
- If a package is delivered to the wrong address or left in an unsecured location and is stolen, we are not responsible for any replacement or reimbursement.
Package Delivery, Theft, and Responsibility
- Whether your package is insured or not, Lazy 3 Leather Company is not liable for theft or damage if the package is delivered improperly or left in an unsecured location.
- Once the package is marked as "delivered" by the carrier, we are not responsible for any loss or theft that occurs afterward.
- If your package was insured through Shipsurance and is lost, damaged, or stolen, contact us to initiate a claim. Claims will be handled in accordance with Shipsurance policies.
Claims and Replacements
- If your package is not insured, we cannot replace or compensate for any loss, damage, theft, or improper delivery.
- If your package was insured, please reach out to us via email so we can assist with the claims process through Shipsurance.
Shipping Knives for Custom Orders
For customers sending knives to Lazy 3 Leather Company to create custom sheaths, please review the following guidelines:

Customer Responsibility
- You are responsible for safely packaging and shipping your knife(s) to us.
- Use a secure, sturdy box and wrap the knife(s) to prevent damage during transit.
- Include a note with your order details and any sheath preferences.
- Please email us your tracking information so we can keep an eye out for your knife shipment.

Insurance and Liability
- We strongly recommend insuring your package for the full value of the knife(s) through your chosen carrier.
- If you would like insurance added to your return shipment, please email us at info@lazy3leatherco.com, this cannot currently be added through the website.
- Lazy 3 Leather Company is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of knives once the package has been dropped off with the shipping carrier.

Handling and Return Shipping
- Once your knife(s) arrive, we will email you to let you know they have been received.
- Completed orders will be shipped back to you with insurance through UPS. If you prefer another shipping carrier, please let us know.
- Lazy 3 Leather Company is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of knives once the package has been dropped off with the shipping carrier.
- We handle your knife(s) with care while creating your custom sheath.

Prohibited Items
- Please ensure your package complies with all local, state, and federal shipping regulations for knives. Packages that cannot legally be shipped may be returned at the sender’s expense.
Customer Responsibilities

Verifying Shipping Information
- You are responsible for ensuring your shipping address is correct before placing an order.
- If the address entered at checkout is incorrect, we are not responsible for delays or additional shipping costs. We will not reimburse shipping fees for orders sent to an incorrect address.

Timely Delivery Requests
- If you need an item by a specific date, please email us after placing your order to confirm we can meet your deadline.
- Choosing an appropriate shipping speed is your responsibility. We will do our best to accommodate urgent requests but cannot guarantee delivery times.
